I drop this package, i don't use it and do not follow development anymore

@JB26: well this is sad, this problem occured before with nntpgrab. it was fixed some time ago but according to you its back.

I needed to change the "LANG" variable on my system to "en_US.UTF-8" ("export LANG=en_US.UTF-8") otherwise I couldn't build it. It seems that one variable in the build process gets translated instead of getting assigned the right value. Probably a bug in makepkg and not in your pkgbuild.

you dont, in cli you only have the server so you can install it on a dedicated headless server and control it with the gtk or qt frontend installed on another machine

how do i use this in the command line

for the moment i leave gtk3 disabled, lateron i might have the time to test and split this package further

for me no issues at all building in chroots ( i686 and x86_64 )

did you change something in the pkgbuild

are you running makepkg ? or are you using a aur helper

this pkgbuild might be very troublesome for aur helpers since its a split one

This is not working for me:

ok - investigated a little further - you can only build this prog using latest testing version (0.6.91) and add --disable-gtk3 as a configure parameter bacause of some incompatibility with libnotify 0.7.3 and gtk3 - apart from that all works fine - get it here:

I get an error building:
