Would you like me to walk you through updating your package, jthan?

cdown commented on 2016-12-22 15:30

Sure thing, thanks!

jrdemasi commented on 2016-12-20 18:11

@cdown -- Not going to get to this for a day or two because I am traveling, but appreciate you testing it ahead of time and I'm happy to add it. Sound okay?

cdown commented on 2016-12-20 12:57

Can you please add armv7h as a supported architecture? I've confirmed that it compiles fine, right now I have to compile with `makepkg -A` to skip this.

is there a way to reset all settings and perhaps data? (i reset ntopng@wlan0.service to its original but still same error, tested both redis and ntopng with pacman -Qkk <pkg> )

EDIT_1: ref:
EDIT_2: ok, i removed everything i found on redis and ntopng, followed the post install instructions( enable/start redis, enable start ntopng) but i'm actually getting a different error, a redis requirement, i'll try modifying ntopng.service again

EDIT_3: ok, i changed service file to include Requires/After redis& and booted ok, (service file :

jrdemasi commented on 2016-07-11 21:39

If you modified your service unit or anything, that could be related. I can confirm on a reboot with redis and ntopng@<if> enabled, both are running and functional.

ntopng-failure ::
ntopng-restart-success ::

jrdemasi commented on 2016-07-11 21:18

I think I'd need to see a full output of your journal, or at least the pertinent parts, to have an understanding here. I can't reproduce the error on my own system.

tsester commented on 2016-07-11 21:05

any idea how to solve this?::

[main.cpp:190] ERROR: Unable to create interface wlan0
[main.cpp:223] ERROR: Startup error: missing super-user privileges ?

..this happens only while booting up. It works fine if i restart it later, even with NetworkManager and stopped. (these were checked with the proposed changes)

tsester commented on 2016-07-10 12:32

to auto enable redis.service we can add the following in ntopng@.service file::

Description=ntopng network traffic monitor

tsester commented on 2016-07-03 23:01

heh, that's the least i can offer, i can't make PKGBUILDs yet,W)

jrdemasi commented on 2016-07-03 22:57

Added. Thanks for working through this with me.

tsester commented on 2016-07-03 22:51

libmariadbclient should be made a regular dependency ("/usr/bin/ntopng: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory")

jrdemasi commented on 2016-07-03 21:52

Thank you! Sorry it took a bit.

tsester commented on 2016-07-03 21:51

@jrdemasi yep, it installs ok, man is in /usr/share/man/man8/ntopng.8.gz , thnx a lot

jrdemasi commented on 2016-07-03 17:51

@tsester, could you try again and report back? Thanks.

jrdemasi commented on 2016-07-03 16:36

I've got my PKGBUILD working except for, of all the things, the manpath is consistently wrong. Seems they have a --mandir option in configure, but it isn't changing anything to manually set it.

Hello BluePeril, with your build i'm getting::
==> Εκκίνηση package()...
install: cannot stat '/tmp/ntopng/src/ntopng.default': no such file or directory

i took "src/ntopng-2.4-stable/contrib/NST/ntopng.conf"

BluePeril commented on 2016-07-03 10:48

Sorry, but your PKGBUILD (or better the result of it) didn't work for me, as there are many missing dependencies.
I have modified and fixed it. You can download my modification from

Edit: sorry, reuploaded because of wrong checksums

Acidhub commented on 2016-04-23 20:07

@Matty_r, fixed :)

When attempting to build I receive:

MySQL libraries not found. Please install them as specified in README.compilation
make: *** No rule to make target 'geoip'. Stop.
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().

EDIT: It appears you should have mysql and wget in dependencies.
