I see that kernel 6.7 is out but no issues have been reported so far. Does that mean that nvidia-340xx-dkms is still working?
I faced exactly the same issue than rafdre.
In my case the [uname -r] command and the file /usr/src/linux/version where providing different versions values. I solved the issue via a global system update [pacman -Syu] and re-run [makepkg -si]
Hope it helps
I have NVIDIA GTS 360M.
I have installed package on my Archlinux with linux-lts
When I try 'startx' there is an error.
When I try 'modprobe nvidia' I get :
FATAL: Module nvidia not found in directory /lib/modules/6.1.67-1-lts
When I try to reinstall linux headers I see this:
pacman -S linux-lts-headers
...
==> dkms install --no-depmod nvidia/340.76 -k 6.1.67-1-lts'
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 6.1.67-1-lts (x86_64)
make.log says
scripts/Makefile.build:44: ../Makefile: No such file or directory
make [3]: *** No rule to make target '../Makefile'. Stop
How can I solve it?
Thank you for your work, it's much appreciated!
Can confirm patch 0015-kernel-6.6.patch works. Thanks for the great work.
Doesn't work with Linux 6.6.
@hackins Check this:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GNOME --> Second Point
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/environment_variables ---> Point: 2.2.1
Hopefully it helps...
@hackins I don't know if it's good or bad idea but you can put in /etc/environment.
nautilus won't open without GDK_DEBUG=gl-glx:opengl command, just updated gnome and everything to the latest, many apps can't be launched without additional command even gnome control center needs the workaround, is there a way to not type the debug command every time?
