@Bohdanator you need to install both packages at the same time with 'pacman -U'.

✔ OBS This is not a Vulkan package: https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-driver, https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1035845

This doesn't compile on i686: /build/nvidia-beta/src/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-370.23/kernel/nvidia-drm/nvidia-drm-fence.c:414:37: error: passing argument 2 of 'nvKms->allocateChannelEvent' from incompatible pointer type [-Werror=incompatible-pointer-types] /build/nvidia-beta/src/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-370.23/kernel/nvidia-drm/nvidia-drm-fence.c:414:37: note: expected 'void (__attribute__((regparm(0))) *)(void *, NvU32)' but argument is of type 'void (*)(void *, NvU32) {aka void (*)(void *, unsigned int)}' Works ok on x86_64.

You can try directly installing nvidia-utils-beta with makepkg, or seeing if there's anything in the meat manpage for installing all split packages. I use Yaourt. Lot of people I know use pacaur. E: Looks like meat is unmaintained since 2013, and wasn't even pulled to AUR4: https://github.com/e36freak/meat/commits/master, https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/?K=meat-git It's not listed in the Wiki either: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR_helpers

hendry commented on 2016-08-16 09:00 (UTC)

How do I do that? Or can you recommend an AUR helper that works better than meat?

Det commented on 2016-08-16 08:55 (UTC)

For some reason, meat seems to only be installing opencl-nvidia-beta from nvidia-utils-beta. You need all the split packages.

Can anyone tell how I am going wrong here? http://s.natalian.org/2016-08-16/nvidia-beta.txt

"Developer drivers are usually from a side branch of an earlier driverso may not always contain the latest fixes that are included in newer Geforce GameReady drivers. As the mod stated, in most cases you are better off with the latest GameReady driver." - https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/4uqlqv/new_driver_36900/

367.35 works for me without problems. Using sddm & KDE with the newest kernel.

If somebody wants to build this driver for kernel 4.6, you have to place this patch: https://gist.github.com/z3ntu/11d2a94ad15824fde3ee6f4308ccb45d/raw/87f742765e2ddce910be8b41987ddcf88e34e8da/nvidia-linux-4.6.patch into the directory with the PKGBUILD file (you don't have to change anything else)!
