Could you replace file:// with local:// ?

Because new makepkg hates file://

@OrdinaryMagician
Your affirmative is wrong and in this case it's necessary. There is no other way to make an AUR package that requires manual source file download without using 'file://'.
If I remove the 'file://' part from PKGBUILD (and consequently from .SRCINFO) the AUR will reject my push beucase the source if is not tracked by git.
I understand that from the user point of view it makes to no difference to be with or without 'file://' because makepkg will expect the local source file to there in any of these cases. But it's not possible make the AUR package without using it.
Anyway, please read the following forum topic. This situation is discussed there and competent users/administrators said that 'file://' is a "de facto" standard for AUR packages that requires manual source file download from the user.
Here is the link: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=216379

Edited to correct wrong parts.

The "file://" part is still completely unnecessary.

@Trollwut
Unfortunately it's not possible due to licensing issues. NVIDIA requests the user to manually accept their EULA before downloading the zip file, and so a direct download link cannot be provided in PKGBUILD.

This kind of issue has been detailed discussed in the following forum topic:

Thanks mate!

Will it be possible to let the ZIP download per package install? Or is this against some TOS?

dbermond commented on 2016-12-11 17:05

@Trollwut
Yes. I've already updated the package.
Thanks for notifying the update.

Is it wise to update to 7.1.9?

Download snapshot, extract into a folder;
Download Video_Codec_SDK_x.x.xx.zip from nvidia;
Put Video_Codec_SDK_x.x.xx.zip into the folder;
Edit the PKGBUILD and
remove "file://" in source=("file://Video_Codec_SDK_${pkgver}.zip"
Like this source=("Video_Codec_SDK_${pkgver}.zip"
Save and run makepkg.

@YAOMTC
Thanks for reporting this. The upstream source file has really changed.
Fixed in version 7.0.1-4.

==> Validating source files with sha256sums...
Video_Codec_SDK_7.0.1.zip ... FAILED

Seems the file has slightly changed since August. I just grabbed the one hosted on Dropbox, easier than getting the right sum and fixing the PKGBUILD myself.
