I tried to pair manually: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/bluetooth_keyboard no luck.

y3s commented on 2021-12-05 10:58 (UTC)

had the same problem, tried everything with no success. So I'm using dual boot. I did pair with windows on 1 and tried pairing linux on 2. That doesnt work for me. As my headphones the keyboard needs to be paired again when using win or linux, but the pair has to made on one button of the keyboard. If u have lets say button 1 on windows and button 2 on linux it will not work. I think this can be because of dual booting, not sure

Bluetooth is not working for me. WOrks perfectly on windows on the same machine. What can be the issue?

This package in a vanilla system produces this error:

/etc/udev/rules.d/obinskit-kdb.rules:4 Unknown group 'plugdev', ignoring

because the plugdev group doesn't exist by default in Arch.

Perhaps we should follow the suggestion here:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Talk:Udev#Use_of_.27uaccess.27_instead_of_GROUP_and_MODE.3F

And substitute TAG+="uaccess" for GROUP="plugdev"?

Consider version 1.1.5 still has problems, maybe create another AUR package just for version 1.1.4 is a good idea?

ScoopNewsworthy commented on 2021-02-22 18:42 (UTC) (edited on 2021-02-22 18:44 (UTC) by ScoopNewsworthy)

Can confirm issues with version 1.1.5 as indicated below (missing Audio Visualization tab, various freezes, etc.). Appears to be an upstream issue. Attempted a build with debtap and the .deb package to see if issue was at all linked to distro-agnostic packaging (.tar.gz). Was unable to fix issue.

In the interest of keeping the AUR version up-to-date and preventing out-of-date flags, I'll keep version 1.1.5 as the current version, rather than revert back to 1.1.4. However, for those of you who want to work around this version, please download version 136dc8a from the AUR, makepkg and install, and then add obinskit to your pacman.conf IgnorePkg line.

Having the same issue as below, except that it only freezes when I try to upgrage or downgrade the AP2 software. Also the Audio Visualization tab has disappeared. Can confirm behaviour was fixed by downgrading the package (in both cases).

Ever since last update, the window completely freezes after selecting the keyboard. Not sure what causes it, running from the command line provides no meaningful error message, other than (node:20788) electron: The default of contextIsolation is deprecated and will be changing from false to true in a future release of Electron. See https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/23506 for more information, which I am not sure if related to the issue.

@syslino, have you tried booting debian/ubuntu and using Obins' .deb package? Given that I only have the binaries to work with here and the source code isn't open source, I can't help too much with your issue, assuming it doesn't have anything to do with my packaging. If you're able to validate that the issue isn't present with the .deb version of ObinsKit, then I'd be willing to take a look at the differences between the two and see if there is a dependency I'm not pulling in or an install step I'm overlooking.

hey, I have the already earlier mentioned problem of getting a segmentation fault when I try to im- export anything in obinskit. Everything else works just fine, any thoughts on this?
