If you have issue building please try to downgrade asio to a version before 1.34.0, this a headers-only library so packages only rely on it as a build-time dependencies.

Arch Linux has unfortunately updated asio without testing if packages using it would build and websocketpp happens to not work with the newest asio.

For those who might ask why libva-vdpau-driver was added to conflicts.

It is the only way at package level to prevent the user to have segfaults because of this driver. This will not be fixed on OBS side since this is not an OBS issue.

The driver is only loaded with Nvidia cards.

Try libva-nvidia-driver if you really need Nvidia decode through VAAPI.

This package have some dependencies with version check, it will allow you to rebuild the package only when your system is correctly updated. This feature is not enabled on Manjaro.

If you have any issue, please before commenting rebuild this package (a clean build) and try again to make sure it's not because of a library update.

Pamac has a messed up dependency checker, use another AUR helper for the first install.

This AUR package provide OBS with all the missing feature except Twitch, Restream and YouTube integrations.

It provide any dependency needed for Wayland support.

It also contains some unmerged PR or backported fix documented in the PKGBUILD.

I'm quite active on OBS discord server (don't PM me directly), so if I saw something that need to be backported I add it.

@NotAViper, to clarify, a dependency ffmpeg-obs builds against was updated, therefore ffmpeg-obs needs to be rebuilt against that updated dependency, even though ffmpeg-obs itself remains the same "version".

Have a look at the commit history of ffmpeg from the official repository, you'll see one week ago it was rebuilt against libbluray 1.5.0, even though the "version" remained 9.0.1:

This issue would potentially impact any program that makes use of ffmpeg / ffmpeg-obs, including programs not in the AUR.

@Bink If you go to the ffmpeg-obs AUR page, it's last updated on the 15th of august. I also had this error on some other programs that aren't from the AUR. The problems seems that the libbluray library updated but the programs using it are on a previous version. I just did a full system downgrade by one week using the Arch Archive and now it's working (since I am on a previous version)

After doing a full system upgrade today, I get this error when running OBS: obs: error while loading shared libraries: libbluray.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

if I understand correctly, your PKGBUILD always builds a debug package alongside the normal package, regardless of the user's makepkg.conf - is that correct?

Line 104 of PKGBUILD:

options=('debug')

I prefer to not have unnecessary *-debug packages on my system and save time by skipping these builds, as described at: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Makepkg#Disable_debug_packages_and_LTO

I was wondering if there's any specific reason, why you enforce debug builds? Maybe it's just something that you were kind of unaware of for the "consumer" side of your packages? It would be awesome if your PKGBUILDs would respect the user's local makepkg.conf, if there's otherwise no benefit of having that debug package. If you need it for your local testing before publishing updates to the AUR, there's a bunch of other options to achieve that. This seems to be in multiple of your packages, noticed it with libajantv2 as well just today due to the rebuild.

I hope I'm making sense here. Thanks for your time and thanks a lot for all the work you put into maintaining your OBS fork for us!

Just ran updates and rebooted, getting this error now:

[EDIT] Looks like it's something with GCC 15 (15.2.x to be specific). I had to downgrade to 14.2.1 and then re-install this package and it seemed to fix everything.

There is an issue with the new version where obs crashes when you try to move output sources.
