whether the site sometimes gives a damaged package, or whether he simply did not completely downloaded. @PROGRAM1 ~/A/ocenaudio-bin> env LANG=en.US makepkg ==> Making package: ocenaudio-bin 3.1.1-3 (Thu Jun 16 09:33:17 MSK 2016) ==> Checking runtime dependencies... ==> Checking buildtime dependencies... ==> Retrieving sources... -> Found LICENSE.txt -> Downloading ocenaudio_debian64.deb... % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed 100 265 100 265 0 0 2082 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 2086 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 0 100 10.3M 100 10.3M 0 0 23.3M 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 23.3M ==> Validating source files with sha256sums... Sorry, I really disowned the package now (missed the confirmation checkbox before).

I just disowned the package- Feel free to adopt it. I don't really use the program and it annoys me that the maintainers do not provide versioned source packages.

:: Checking ocenaudio-bin integrity... ==> ERROR: install should not be an array :: failed to verify ocenaudio-bin integrity May have something to do with the new version of libalpm.

New upstream version 3.0.4 adds JACK support, so dependency 'jack' was added. Here's the answer I got from the project maintainers, asking them to provide versioned binary downloads. "[...] thanks for using ocenaudio. The latest versions always have important fixes, so it is always important to download the latest version.…" So, I guess that means no. :(

SpotlightKid commented on 2015-12-14 17:09 (UTC)

Sigh, I really wish the project would provide versioned download files. There's a new ocenaudio release 3.0.3, but the download file name stays the same, even if the file contents change. I've asked the project maintainers, whether they can provide versioned download files in the future. Updated the package to new version 3.0.3. When this happens again, please just flag the package out-of-date. Thanks!
