v0.9.0.r332 brings proxy support, thank you @aarnt ! [2250904|e846990]

  • PKGBUILD updated to match a closer version to the official one provided on github
  • PKGBUILD WITH_KNOTIFICATION=1 -> Enable the Plasma/knotifications support notifier
  • PKGBUILD WITH_DARK_ICON=0 -> Replace grey icon for dark theme support by the original green icon
  • PKGBUILD -j removed, if you need parallel build, set MAKEFLAGS in /etc/makepkg.conf
  • PKGBUILD qt5-tools added as makedeps (a new requirement to build octopi-sudo)
  • I didn't feel it was necessary to keep the old numix icons but if you want them back just let me know

Please don't set -j in the pkgbuild. That's just bad practise..

DonHugo commented on 2019-07-08 04:36 (UTC)

The package does currently not build (e.g. pacmanhelper has been removed, a new sudo module added). Please see https://github.com/aarnt/octopi/blob/master/PKGBUILD for the updated dependencies and build instructions.

New update ! Fixed dependencies (added qtermwidget) To install this package, you will need to download "alpm_octopi_utils" from AUR in order to install octopi. Grab it here : https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/alpm_octopi_utils/

Fincer commented on 2017-12-21 21:15 (UTC) (edited on 2017-12-21 21:16 (UTC) by Fincer)

Please add dependency qtermwidget, as of this commit: https://github.com/aarnt/octopi/commit/e08f7a8815c1a935912a05b02cb93bb007ab3860

Otherwise, compilation fails.

Looks like auto-hide ability for tray indicator (KDE Plasma) is not there anymore. Any specific reason the Auto visibility in KDE system tray settings not working?

Just adopted this package and fixed several issues. Successfully building on x86_64, unable to test i686.

aurox commented on 2016-04-04 13:10 (UTC)

Dear nikmil in PKGBUILD, line 65 _jc=$((${cpucount:-1})) it should read _cpucount instead

Can you please use a more meaningful pkgver() please? This would make it more easy to check whether rebuilding makes sense by comparing with the release-versions. (eg: git describe --long --tags | sed 's/^v//;s/\([^-]*-g\)/r\1/;s/-/./g' this would result as time of writing in: 0.7.0.r2.gb9d40be)

Why not use makepkg's integrated feature and create a special build-system-like thing?

dmoebius :)

dmoebius commented on 2015-01-28 15:00 (UTC)

It works now. Thanks, mrbit! :)

mrbit commented on 2015-01-27 11:50 (UTC)

ok, test please. :)

dmoebius commented on 2015-01-27 10:48 (UTC)

I can confirm the problems reported by p-we. Could you please fix it? Furthermore, namcap reports the following problems: octopi-git W: File (lib/octopi/) exists in a non-standard directory. octopi-git W: File (lib/octopi/pacmanhelper) exists in a non-standard directory. octopi-git E: Dependency qt4 detected and not included (libraries ['usr/lib/libQtDBus.so.4', 'usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4'] needed in files ['lib/octopi/pacmanhelper']) octopi-git W: Dependency qt5-base included but already satisfied

Package has errors with pacman 4.2. Fix: 1) Comment out md5sums 2) Install #services to /usr/lib

mrbit commented on 2014-11-04 22:57 (UTC)

ok thanks, argymeg, done :)

argymeg commented on 2014-11-04 22:46 (UTC)

My bad, it doesn't work at all without qt5-declarative. You should probably add it to depends.

argymeg commented on 2014-11-04 22:38 (UTC)

True; however, with just qt5-base, building still fails: ==> Starting build... Cloning into 'octopi-build'... done. Project ERROR: Unknown module(s) in QT: quickwidgets quick I solved it by installing qt5-declarative. You should probably add it to makedepends.

mrbit commented on 2014-11-03 07:17 (UTC)

Hi, argymeg, yes now work with the QT5

argymeg commented on 2014-11-03 01:26 (UTC)

Afraid it doesn't build for me since the last update. At first it fails with a very not-intuitive error about not finding qmake; apparently qtchooser picks Qt5 by default, even though I don't have it installed, so I have to force Qt4 first ('export QT_SELECT=4'). Even then, however, build fails after a while (http://pastebin.archlinux.fr/651966).

Hi, kopiersperre now work.

thanks perfect gui!!!

vinadoros commented on 2014-02-21 20:40 (UTC)

Thanks for that. I noticed you've added "xterm" as 'makedepends'. Can "xterm" be added to 'depends' as well? Just so that it won't get removed by pacman unless octopi-git is removed...once again, thanks for keeping track of this package.

mrbit commented on 2014-02-17 06:48 (UTC)

Ok vinadoros, done.

vinadoros commented on 2014-02-17 02:54 (UTC)

Thanks for maintaining this package mrbit. I was wondering if you could modify the pkgbuild to have "xterm" be a dependency. This terminal is required in order to make the program not freak out when installing from AUR (the program freezes when you go to install a package in yaourt group if you don't have xterm).

mrbit commented on 2013-11-08 16:33 (UTC)

Thanks dmoebius, done.

dmoebius commented on 2013-11-08 12:45 (UTC)

Note: recent octopi git contains a new binary "octopi-notifier", a small app for the system tray. It would be cool if you'd include it in PKGBUILD.
