Not working with default JRE10 because of java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/JAXBException. Related link and fix

2 Possible workrounds:

  • require JRE8 as dependency and start with it or

  • check java version and if greater than 8 run as java -jar -Xmx512M --add-modules java.xml.bind OmegaT.jar $*

There is a new version available. The current package is "OmegaT 3.5 update 1" and now, since August 15, there is "OmegaT 3.5.1".

thanks in advance for updating the package!

Is fixed now. Thanks for spotting it.

It fails to build in this form. Last four rm lines (under‘removing obsolete files’) should be /usr/share/java/$_pkgname/… instead of /usr/share/java/$pkgname/….

Dear dkorzhevin,

Thank you for the info. However, please note that the beta was released on 27 Sep, while my previous comment 'no beta version *at the moment*' was on 23 Sep. Therefore I believe that my comment was correct at the time of writing.

Dear Dragonlord,

Could you kindly update this package to the one dkorzhevin mentioned as well?
