@m1k.cloud Thanks a lot, your workaround helped me too.

@ignami apparently the issue is on libx11 and there is an MR with the fix https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libx11/-/merge_requests/293

until that lands in a release i guess we need to keep the workaround

I've just tried to update libxkbcommon and libxkbcommon-x11 to version 1.12.3-1. And with the Omnissa Horizon Client 8.16.0 (16536624989), I don't encounter anymore the issue, so far.

Sorry for the wrong hopes, but a second try showed that the last versions of libxdbcommon and libxkbcommon-x11 still have the bug, at least on my configuration (Arch, Gnome, Wayland).

We had an update today for libxkbcommon and libxkbcommon-x11 in version 1.12.3-1 - does it still happen there?

fyi there is an issue opened upstream https://github.com/xkbcommon/libxkbcommon/issues/888

@m1k.cloud Thanks a lot, had the same issue, downgrading is a workaround for me too.

if anyone else has the crash i solved it downgrading libxkbcommon and libxkbcommon-x11 to 1.11.0-1 and rebooting

anyone else is experiencing this crash?

i get this since yesterday

The program 'horizon-client' received an X Window System error.
                                                        This probably reflects a bug in the program.
                                                        The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'.
                                                          (Details: serial 194603 error_code 2 request_code 135 (XKEYBOARD) minor_code 8)
                                                          (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
                                                           that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
                                                           To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment
                                                           variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
                                                           backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
