To avoid issues with clicks on right edge of the window (toolbox): gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -f -b ondsel-es

Updated to 2024.2.2

The stalling issue with kde is still present unfortunately.

Workaround I've found is to run it within gamescope:

gamescope ondsel-es

@cgx Thanks for replying. Interestingly enough, I'm on qt 6.7.1 and kde 6.0.5. Those updates should have fixed the issue, but I'm still getting it.

I have also noticed it could be a connection related. The internet is quite slow and laggy. If I leave Ondsel opened for a while, it'll work fine then (after a few last stutters). If I close it and open again it'll also work fine.

Operating System: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0
Qt Version: 6.7.1
Kernel Version: 6.9.3-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

@hamster4430 I think it is known issue with certain kde/qt versions. See https://github.com/Ondsel-Development/FreeCAD/issues/54#issuecomment-2134137635

2024.2.1-1 version hangs on each action for about 30 seconds. EndeavourOS, KDE Wayland. Restarting the app for about 6 times could help and it works then without any issues.

Setting XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11 doesn't fix the issue. Right click on the app - Edit Application... - Application - Environment Variables: XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11

If I run it via konsole:

$ ondsel-es

Checksums updated. Yay users may need to select clean build if upgrading from 2024.2.0-1

Package updated to 2024.2.0 It seems fix for https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD/issues/960 (and thus appimagetool) is still needed. Otherwise I get constant stalls while using the app.

@cgx

Yes. Uninstall and install all clean.

I don't know why the original failures, but it works now.

Thanks
