Guys, stop flagging this package as out of date. It's a freaking GIT package pulling from master, how the hell is it not up to date?

If it doesn't build it doesn't mean it's out of date.

If upstream broke the build, report an issue to upstream.

If this PKGBUILD needs changes to build with the latest commits, add a comment.

@Pete I have no view either way, however instead of having quite a number of onedrive packages + git versions, perhaps the current 'onedrive' package maintainer can finally update to my branch so that the correct version is available to all users, rather than those who know where the correct version is ...

abraunegg is actually frequently putting out a release, so it would be nice to have a package that updates every time a new version is being released. Depau, would you be willing to provide such package (onedrive-abraunegg), or would you mind if I submit such package?

abraunegg commented on 2019-01-10 19:39

@thisischrys I would refer you to the following sections in the readme:

https://github.com/abraunegg/onedrive/blob/master/README.md#onedrive-service-running-as-root-user

https://github.com/abraunegg/onedrive/blob/master/README.md#onedrive-service-running-as-a-non-root-user-via-systemd

bugsmanagement commented on 2019-01-10 11:50

@thisischrys It already includes one, enable it with 'systemctl --user enable onedrive' then 'systemctl --user start onedrive'

thisischrys commented on 2019-01-10 10:24

Any chance of adding a systemd user service file for this?

This package always builds from GIT, so it always is up to date.

There is no need to flag this package as being out of date.

I mean this package is great. It should go to community repo.

Kr1ss commented on 2018-10-29 14:35

@enihcam Why not releasing an additional (stable) package, rather than transforming the git one ? There's even a release page on the upstream repo, wich could be used as source.

I'm sure there are other users, besides me, who are happy to use the dev package.

Also, you are not forced to update with every single commit, even if it's a git package.

enihcam commented on 2018-10-29 14:24

@Depau, can you change this package to non-git? update per a single commit is too frequent.

abraunegg commented on 2018-10-11 20:07

@Depau:

Can you open a case on https://github.com/abraunegg/onedrive if the PKGBUILD is not working & provide the exact steps to build the package on Arch - I am not an Arch user - so building a package for Arch is not my area of knowledge.

If I have the steps, I can reproduce and issues and fix.
