This package ships the OnlyOffice Desktop Editor, not the OnlyOffice Document Server.

Please, make sure that you are referring to the correct software when flagging this package out of date :)

Please also add gst-libav to the dependencies, otherwise video embeds video/x-h264 in presentations fail with a gstreamer error.

New 8.3.1 release pushed, which should fix the "Segmentation fault (core dumped)" issue some people are facing :)

@lobroc gst-plugins-good added as an optional dependency ;)

Hello, please considering adding gst-plugins-good as an optional dependency: it is required for playing embedded video files (at least in the MP4 format).

Thanks @patrice, for the interim "fix." I'm getting the same "Segmentation fault (core dumped)." As everyone here. I'm on GNOME X11.

An alternative way to fix the crash is using onlyoffice package (which builds it from source). It doesn't crash on GNOME wayland like the official binary.

Can anyone suffering from the segfault issue with v8.3.0 share any relevant details in the related upstream issue please (thanks @Mel for sharing the link)?
I see someone from upstream just got assigned to the issue, hopefully we get a fix soon :)

In the mean time, you can downgrade to v8.2.2. See @patrice's comment.

Can confirm below reports. Fails to launch from Gnome. From cli:

Segfault on 8.3.0 is an upstream issue: https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/DesktopEditors/issues/1792

To fix the segmentation fault on my system, I remove the 8.3 then I installed version 8.2.2 by following these steps:

git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/onlyoffice-bin.git

cd onlyoffice-bin

git checkout 8b8658557853

makepkg -si

This checks out the commit corresponding to version 8.2.2 and builds the package manually.
