Thanks for maintaining this package. I think it would benefit from a .desktop file so that we can easily launch it from a graphical shell.

@SpotlightKid Thank you for your fixes; I kinda forgot that I inherited this package a while ago, despite using the program fairly often. I've integrated your new PKGBUILD, which should solve those dependency issues. I'm watching the repo now, so I'll try to get this package updated once I get a notification that there's a new release.

There are a few issues with this package:
npm
is not a make dependency for the binary distribution.replaces
should be replaced withconflicts
andprovides
lines instead./opt/open-stage-control
, not/opt/open-stage-control-bin
.Here is an amended and updated PKGBUILD:

@SpotlightKid - I'm going to do that, and then I'll mark this package as orphan. I don't use it anymore and the author is releasing new versions several times a week, it seems.

If this PKGBUILD continues to install a pre-built Linux x64 version, it should:
-bin
suffix.x86_64
fromarch

there you go. it compiles, but I haven't tried it.

Hello, could you please update this package to a newer version of open stage control? Kind Regards
tgirod commented on 2021-06-18 08:08 (UTC)
warning! the new version is using the pre-built open-stage-control, because I failed to build it from source. I couldn't find the list of dependencies, so I kept the old ones. this might need to be updated.

@tgirod, I have now switched the PKGBUILD logic back to basically how it was before you took over. For me, a clean build works. Please report back if you see any problems. Updating to a new upstream version should in general be as simple as it has been in your PKGBUILD.

@daniel.appelt you're on board!
