As requested, updated to latest 1.0.2 but this is beta quality as upstream is saying even though they've gone with a 1.x.x version...

If you want a usable version, use your AUR helper to install the 0.5.5 version instead.

After cloning, you can do it manually with:

git checkout 951e3049743fe1f5c94193999ffa3fed47af84e3
makepkg

I have very little faith that 1.0.3 will be better given the entire app is just vibecoded gpt 6 astra slop but let's see. Thanks for updating it anyways. Also that "No" is killing me 😭

No. What was holding me back to push the new version is that:

  • the new GUI might be prettier and faster (C++/Qt) than the old (electron) one, BUT in game streaming is unusable for now.
  • the package does not build is a clean chroot. But this is OK otherwise.

I am pushing 1.0.2 update, but this is not better... the dev is saying 1.0.3 will have a new engine... Just hope it will be better.

Hi @solsticedhiver,

opennow is still at 0.5.5 while upstream is already on v1.0.2 (flagged out of date since 2026-09-13). Totally understandable if you're short on time, the 1.x release does look like a bigger change.

Would you be open to adding me as a co-maintainer? I'd take care of the update to 1.0.2 and keep up with future stable releases, and you'd of course stay the main maintainer. I already maintain a few packages here (fluxer-bin, zapzap-bin etc.), so I'm familiar with the workflow.

Thanks for packaging this in the first place!

the new v1.x.x features a QT gui; but I don't think this is usable because of this issue https://github.com/OpenCloudGaming/OpenNOW/issues/903 beta quality. and others...

Anyway, I am trying to build it in a clean chroot without errors... WIP.
