Updated. Thanks for the helpful comments. Regarding MySQL, Enverex, that's what I'm using. I had to muddle through at setup (I use other DBs usually), but all issues were resolved for me by configuration, and almost all of that at the MySQL end.

Probably more of an issue with OpenSimulator being a POS

SQLite seems to work fine (using current Mono, not the legacy package), but using MySQL fails claiming the connection was refused (using the correct credentials obviously). Is this another known issue with Mono?

This build fails on pure x86 machines, as libsqlite3_64.so is not deleted before strip. The MAKEPKG needs to be edited to look for "*_64.so", not "*x86_64.so".

P.S. OpenSim 0.6.9 works with SQLite + mono-2.6.4-2 (the current mono version in Arch Linux, i.e., no need to install 'old-mono').
