I found some small issues with your pkgbuild:
- 'make -j' does not serve any purpose on systems with custom makeflags in makepkg.conf and causes problems and slowdowns on single core systems. Remove the '-j' parameter.
- you don't have to pull in the dep 'desktop-file-utils', if you only copy the file to the package location, install can do this as well.
- .ico is not a valid/supported format for .desktop entries
- you do not have to create the folders before, if you use 'install -D'
Thanks!

Updated to Open Surge. Might have some problems running the game now, but I'm putting this up and if anyone can help me identify the problem, it'd be great.

http://pastebin.com/mNnT8zZC (for allegro 4)
http://pastebin.com/ZNf05p8n (for allegro 5)
cmake works using these 2 ver, but when linking i got:

/usr/lib/libalfont.a(alfont.o): In function `_alfont_cache_glyph':
(.text+0x353): undefined reference to `FT_Load_Glyph'

maybe it should be patched to be compatible with allegro5... but i have no idea, any solution here?

The link for the Desert1 with music is broken. Also the SVN links seem to be out of date if I config the PKGBUILD to skip the broken download.
