Since I no longer use Opera, I have disowned. This also means the packages are no longer available in my personal repo.

@all I just pushed an update in opera-developer that makes opera-developer-ffmpeg-codecs work again /cc @vivaeltopo

BlackIkeEagle commented on 2016-02-03 10:09 (UTC)

@vivaeltopo currently opera-developer fails to use this libffmpeg.so

I am constantly having problems with every (about) second update of opera and this package. Sometimes it works without a problem, sometimes it doesn't let me play h264 or mp3... I built it myself and tried your repo, both without luck... Any info on how to debug this?

@telephone, thanks I was away yesterday afternoon and evening without the possibility to update it.

With the newest update: v35.0.2064.0, the codecs from Chrome 48.0.2547.0 no longer work. Opera Developer is now based off 48.0.2564.10. I tested locally after upgrading and mp4/mp3 are working again (using 48.0.2564.10 to build the codecs).

@BlackIkeEagle after some fiddling around, the current release of this package (48.0.2547.0) works with v35.0.2060.0, IF you rename 'libffmpeg.so.35' to 'libffmpeg.so' (in lib_extra). Maybe this is the new design or someone just screwed up, but it works :).

@BlackIkeEagle mp3 and h264 (mp4) are not working for me. On the sites you've linked I'm receiving an "FFmpegDemuxer: open context failed" error via 'opera://media-internals'. Again, I'm using the latest opera developer: v35.0.2060.0. More examples: Video via twitter or Vimeo uses mp4, which doesn't work.

@telephone, I've just tested it with http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/tests/video.html and http://hpr.dogphilosophy.net/test/ and everything seems to work fine. Could you add an example?
