It appears that a detached HEAD state was pushed and that was preventing AUR helpers from updating. I have manually resolved the issue and changed the CI to hopefully prevent these issues in the future.

It seems a hotfix has been released (ver. 125.0.5729.15), although I'm not sure if this fixed current issue (SIGSEGV on KDE).

@oech3 I'll look into it and probably push it later today.

@Achilleus I will try it on my KDE system when I get home.

Version 125 broken on KDE.

@Refreeze5911 Would you rm opera-stable/libffmpeg.so and put opera-stable/lib_extra/libffmpeg.so from https://github.com/nwjs-ffmpeg-prebuilt/nwjs-ffmpeg-prebuilt/releases/tag/0.106.0 at here? Blocking LD_PRELOAD hack at each codec packages is pain and upstream seems not interested to fix it.

Yes, if you use pacman. Basically the same command. If anyone has trouble with video playback or gifs, install patch from github. Works like a charm. It is called Ld-Hagen / fix-opera-linux-ffmpeg-widevine. Instructions pretty clear.

@simona I'm not sure if I understood you correctly, but you should use yay -Scc to clear your Yay cache. Pacman won't do that.

pacman -Scc solve anything. But sudo rm -r $user/.cache/yay solve. Tnx.

luftwaffle commented on 2025-11-20 18:40 (UTC)

@simona clear your AUR helper cache so it downloads the latest package and try again.

Unsolved. I hope one day it will be possible to install the software again.

confirm: buils fine after the latest fix. 1. @Refreeze5911, thanks a lot for your work and prompt response to the situation; 2. Yes, Arch community is the best.
