If you are using Plasma, it is recommended to replace in PKGBUILD _plasma=false with _plasma=true to use additional KDE API feautures (this also adds additional dependencies).

@forcegk, hmm, maybe the application crash? Could you run it in a terminal?

forcegk commented on 2020-09-27 17:21 (UTC)

Yeah, qbittorrent and other qt-based applications are working as expected (which is pretty rare)

Shatur commented on 2020-09-27 07:28 (UTC)

@forcegk, I guess the problem is with Gnome. Check that other Qt applications are displayed in the system tray (qbittorrent, for example).

For some reason, icon stopped appearing on the tray.

System: gnome-shell 1:3.36.0-1

Extension: AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support

It randomly just stopped working. Is there anyone here with the same problem?

(optimus-manager starts no problem, problem is with the GUI)

@shatur, it was being hidden by the system tray. Noob mistake on my part. Thank you for your help. :)

@nintendo424, why do you launch the GUI application with sudo? I think this can be the root of the problem.

@matterhorn, @gflegar, done!
