Updated to 19.6.0.0.0 and now doing direct downloads, thanks @dhummel!

Hello, it seems an account is no longer needed in order to download these files. I made it work by changing the source as follows:

From:

"manual://${_pkgname}-linux.x64-${pkgver}dbru.zip"

To:

"https://download.oracle.com/otn_software/linux/instantclient/195000/${_pkgname}-linux.x64-${pkgver}dbru.zip"

I also used the same approach with oracle-instantclient-tools with success.

@blinx: If you need help it's probably better to ask on the Arch forums, as these comments aren't a great place for providing support. If it turns out there's a problem with the package and the forums help explain what it is, feel free to write a comment here with the fix.

I cant update nor install the package anymore, I get this message after "==> Sources are ready.": Can not find package name : [==> Warning: This software cannot be downloaded automatically.]

You don't need to wait for me, just change the version numbers and update the checksums and off you go. Parameters are difficult because of the checksums.

If you want older versions, just grab the older AUR versions from the "View Changes" link in the upper right of the page, under the "Package Actions" heading.

Isn't it possible to do some parametrization to the package? i.e to have some input parameter or something where you could specify which version you want to install?

I guess there might be some people who would need older versions of instant client. And also if new version is available we would not need to wait for you :)

Wow Oracle is wasting no time releasing x86_64 versions - updated to 19.3 now
