To build the package you need to manually download the no-jre archive from Oracle's site[1] and place it in the same directory with the PKGBUILD[2] and then run makepkg.

[1] https://www.oracle.com/tools/downloads/sqldev-downloads.html, you need "Other platforms"

@zodiacle have you modified the PKGBUILD file in any way? It looks like either md5 array doesn't have the five elements it should have or source array doesn't have five elements. Please download or reclone the repository and try again. If you are using an AUR helper it should have an option to clean the package before build.

makepkg gives me the followed error:

==> ERROR: Integrity checks (md5) differ in size from the array of the source.

what can i do? please help me :-)

The package is out of date, requires the following updates to the version and to the checksums to build:

i had issues starting this from my xorg window manager menu (i don't run gnome, so the gnome -fix did not help), it worked without any issues launching the program from an xterm, but exporting JAVA_HOME in the start script solved my issues.

i'm new to arch, so i don't know "Arch way" of doing it, but i added

 export DEFAULT_JAVA=$(archlinux-java get)
 export JAVA_HOME=$(echo /usr/lib/jvm/$DEFAULT_JAVA)

in the start script under /usr/bin/ and that worked for me at least, so now i can start sql-developer from the menu of my window manager

Does anyone else has a problem with font antialiasing in this program? All the fonts that it uses are not antialiased which makes it look hideous for me.

The desktop icon is not hicolor and is ugly, could have made an effort it integrates very badly in hicolor icons setup
