This modified PKGBUILD worked for me for building the 1.7.0 release. Included many fixes from below comments. I still get two Javascript unexpected result errors on startup, but that might just be cruft from my crazy npm/gradle/jre/jdk adventures. No showstopper bugs found thus far.

harmonyos-sans-git no longer exists. Should be changed to ttf-harmonyos-sans. Should also be a makedepends because orca-slicer copies the .ttf files into its resources.

I am currently working on updating this package: I've addressed most of the stuff you brought to my attention (thank you, more please!) and I have the latest 1.6.6 version building.

The problem is that resulting build segfaults immediately after I click through the "Error running javascript" warnings we've been seeing for a while now. It's going to take some time to debug.

This segfault is similar to what BambuStudio was seeing with appimages on Arch and Fedora, but it seems it has been solved for the latter now - I'll see if I can copy the solution.

PKGBUILD needs some changes:

  • conflicts/provides should be orca-slicer, not OrcaSlicer.
  • license should be AGPL3, not AGPLv3, to correspond with file in /usr/share/licenses/common
  • better description would be "G-code generator for 3D printers"

@tve I've been having the same problem with the X1C's video feed since the first version of 1.6.3 released and haven't been able to figure it out. If you make any progress, please report back
