Hi ClawOfLight thanks for the suggestion, I added ttf-freefont as a dependency which should solve the problem.

Hi, please add xorg-fonts-misc as dependency, it contains the font used by default!

Hi, in PKGBUILD you should quote variables that may contain spaces, in particular ${srcdir} and ${pkgdir} on lines 15, 19 and 24-26. Otherwise the build fails when there are directories that contain spaces. «make || return 1» is redundant, functions in this document abort as soon as one of the lines fails. So you can just write «make». You don't do anything in prepare(), so you can just remove the function. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_packaging_standards.
