The problem was that aria2 could not download the files properly.

ValHue commented on 2017-04-15 07:55 (UTC)

After several downloads, both fonts and checksums are correct. Of course there is no new version, so I have cleared the outdated package notification. Check your downloads, same you have problems with the server of Suse.

I had build errors. This fixed for me: 64bit SHA-256 Hash: 56eb23ecc3852d7eb81622d688ce9a49f077df9deb4c6e9274c7263a1c024e6e 32bit SHA-256 Hash: f23e1bb795d042999c690a88dff879e71aa60b7795a23ecbce83a2e0b4009e16

@psamim: try again because validations are correct, I have reinstalled a few times and always without problems. You've had a problem with downloading from the Suse server.

I get the following error: ==> Validating source_x86_64 files with sha256sums... osmc-installer_126_amd64.deb ... FAILED ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build osmc-installer-bin.

Note got a 404 error not found. The sources here point to 125. Installer_126 is out. Note that after running application, it hangs on attempting to find the SD card to install on. This also only runs from an elevated terminal (sudo or su).

I get an error that the archive does not contain data.tar.gz

alexvanaxe commented on 2015-07-21 21:06 (UTC)

It didn't work for me like that, but putting all in the same line it worked. $ sudo su ... $ QT_X11_NO_MITSHM=1 osmcinstaller ... $ exit

This worked for me, you have to run it as superuser... $ sudo su ... $ export QT_X11_NO_MITSHM=1 $ osmcinstaller ... $ exit And you're good to go. At least, that's what solved it for me.

1.1.0 is out.

The installer call /sbin/partprobe, provided by the parted package. It should be be added to dependencies.

Paaskehare commented on 2015-03-09 20:29 (UTC)

I put together an updated PKGBUILD for version 1.0.9 you can get it here. http://upl.io/view/l2r7tv/PKGBUILD Although it seems that this package is heavily updated, so it might not work for long

nazarko commented on 2015-02-25 21:48 (UTC)

Hi I'm the lead dev of OSMC and am interested in getting an Arch repo in Open Build Service (which is what we use for Debian and RPM based distros already) The method here seems a bit cat and mouse: as soon as I update, those checksums will be out of date and fail the build. I am not an Arch user and am unfamiliar with packaging. If anyone could help me set up a PKGBUILD (contact me at sam at osmc dot tv or sam_nazarko in #freenode), this would be much appreciated. S

Package updated. However, package check was not correct (sha256sums resulted ed1917c8ea9c618744c34962807f563fd6d78bbb861063ff87be1a0c34b54810 and e6bba3d51a990b25a8b9d4db457630d069c70ce86c1827e911db1264bd0faa58 respectively for i386 and amd64, while the original ones are 09211cef58ac61dba471758760761bb2c3a4fe7200e20c14f0e08ae4d7d27c1d and 60f0bc014d4f0698506944d451bf22e6406268f87f72aa77fd61f911f6dbaa20). I do not konw the reason of this behaviour (it was the same also for the previous release; instead, when bradpitcher comment on that, there was not any problem yet). In case of problems please change this sums in the pkgbuild with the original ones.

Hi there, 1.0.2 got released Thanks for maintaining this package

bradpitcher commented on 2015-01-02 21:42 (UTC)

Thanks for the package. It didn't work for me until I changed the 64-bit sha256sum to 8810c3f327df41484ef72a1de41746fd8de165aa406b863cf775eef4ea20d906. Also, the dependencies should be quoted, packer throws syntax errors otherwise.
