Adopted for AUR4.

@C5OK5Y Thanks! that's a beautiful way. you should propose it to other HIB packages.

C5OK5Y commented on 2013-07-10 20:38

This[1] patch fixes the dependencies (verified with readelf) and implements the hib::// dlagent (therefore simplifies the PKGBUILD).

@technix93: there were many proposed solution, could you please post the one that works for you?

technic93 commented on 2012-11-10 14:37

Font doesn't work by default still :(
I fixed it like it is described below

swiftgeek commented on 2011-12-12 08:40

It's useless only for games and other already compressed packages.

hilton commented on 2011-12-12 08:37

@swiftgeek
Why? You can change the PKGEXT from your /etc/makepkg.conf if you have issues with it.

swiftgeek commented on 2011-12-12 08:24

Please disable compression of the package in the next release...
PKGEXT='.pkg.tar'

This change in the defaults.cfg
sed -ri 's/^(soundDevice ")-/\1/' Osmos/defaults.cfg
actually breaks sound for me (my device 1 is "No Output" and 0 is alsa).
The original value of -1 works fine, though this can be configured in ~/.Osmos/Config.cfg anyway.

Would it be possible for you to support an environment variable like the cogs AUR package? https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=51029

mmm commented on 2011-02-26 16:55

ok,updated to 1.6.1, fixes the font & freezing time issues.
32bit users may experience some troubles, read below..

mmm : Strange, it works for me (64 bits), exactly like the prev version.

mmm commented on 2011-02-26 13:55

I get this now:
/usr/bin/osmos: line 15: 13878 Segmentation fault $BIN $@
--maybe some info for the developers..thanks

mmm commented on 2011-02-26 13:47

@mirandir: thanks for info about the new version, however, I ran into some problems with the 1.6.1 version here:

[marek@beruska osmos]$ ./Osmos.bin32

The proposal for the new PKGBUILD is here: http://pastebin.com/xGXWE4RW

Please test, I've contacted the devs and hope to fix this soon so we can upgrade.
Cheers, marek

@dobo,kralyk: fixes fonts, duplicit bin32/64, $pkgpath. Thanks for ideas/ diky ;)

dobo commented on 2010-12-18 19:17

Great job mmm.
As Thalic mentioned below there's possibility to patch original font (= FortuneCity). We could patch font inside PKGBUILD but I think that would be bloated (adding python2 as makedep).
As foutrelis posted in Humble Bundle #2 topic in bss, there's working font on http://www.fontcubes.com/FortuneCity.font - I hope it's legal to us it.
I think we should also delete unnecessary binary (bin32 on x86_64 and vice-versa).
There's my PKGBUILD proposition: http://aur.pastebin.com/cn5WCzVY

kralyk commented on 2010-12-18 19:17

Hi, there's a problem with your PKGBUILD. When _gamepkg is found, ${pkgpath} is not set and therefore the link created on line 32 is bad. Thanks a lot anyway / díky moc ;-)

This user has apparently been inactive since late October. I am orphaning this package. mmm, feel free to take over. Thalic, if you want to resume maintainership, please mail me.

mmm commented on 2010-12-15 21:48

hello,
updated PKGBUILD http://pastebin.com/qDLLR9Mp
*fix font issue (killajoe)
*fix default sound config issue
*cleanup & dependencies
Thanks, Marek

killajoe commented on 2010-11-26 20:57

- Go to your /usr/share/fonts/TTF/ directory and choose a font you like (remeber the name)
- In a terminal:
# mv /opt/Osmos/Fonts/FortuneCity.ttf /opt/Osmos/Fonts/FortuneCity.ttf.backup
# cp /usr/share/fonts/<fontyoulike.ttf> /opt/Osmos/Fonts/FortuneCity.ttf

works ;)
