This sound system is underestimated, it has a very good quality with intel hdaudio (ich9), build newer 910-1 instead. Pre mixing makes pulseaudio and other wrappers useless. It's very lightweight too. I'm still having problems with jackd in full fuplex, works in playback only (due to jack team poor support).

The latest support Intel HDA is
0x8c20, and I am usinga348. If your sound card is not listed there, it is not supported.
