Since the Metropolis development has stopped, there seems to be an effort done by VMWare to recreate and drive the development of a similar font: https://github.com/vmware/clarity-city/

There is no AUR package as of yet that I'm aware.

That fork only has the r8 version tagged however, so changing the PKGBUILD would mean a downgrade, no?

I'm disowning the package so please feel free to step in if you like to.

The github repo doesn't seem to exist anymore. I got it to work with the following changes:

Location of the files within the repository has changed, so line 23 of the PKGBUILD should be ' install -m644 Metropolis/Fonts/OpenType/Metropolis-*.otf "${pkgdir}/usr/share/fonts/OTF/"'.

The license and location of the licence file has changed as well.
