@tjbp Thanks for (finally) removing those bogus dependencies. Can you also drop the pinned notice here on the AUR? I believe it is obsolete. All of the necessary tooling works just fine.

@caleb thanks for chasing this up - the problem is admittedly upstream of afdko - python-fontparts has a checkdepends on python-fontpens, but neither the requirements.txt nor dev-requirements for fontParts requires fontPens. Since there's a dependency the other way around, things become cyclic and break.

@tjbp I am the maintainer for AUR packages for adfko and ufo2otf. I expect them to work to build this, can you confirm and remove the pinned notice if it works for you?
Also please drop the fontconfig & xorg-font-utils dependencies, they are obsoleted by Arch's hooks in those packages.

This package is not out of date (there is no new upstream version). Upstream is a ufo file which needs compiling to otf using ufo2otf, however Arch doesn't have working implementations of fontforge or afdko (ie. a makeotf binary). If you can fix ufo2otf, this package will build successfully.

@ankitrgadiya - will fix shortly, online builder seems to be broken so need to add something like ufo2otf to AUR and use in makedepends before that source will work.
