this alone is not enough, you need the original font files for it to work https://github.com/kiliman/operator-mono-lig#installation follow the instructions here
operator mono is a paid font

Edit: actually never mind I see what I did wrong
I'm confused about the instructions. I did mkdir per instructions in the same folder location as the PKGBUILD. It complained about /usr/share/fonts/OTF not being created so I created that folder as well. Ran makepkg -sic. Can't locate the OTF folder or the font
