Is there any news for this package? The link @lspci provided has already been deprecated. And I'll suggest pastebin.com for a new pkgbuild...

Forgot to say that it is much better to leave up to the user to activate the configuration whenever he wants, unlike what is done (linking by default on fonts/conf.d) in the cantarell font package. That is a different case.

Hello,

I wanted to test this font with some pdfs because they can be used in place of the URW fonts from the `gsfonts` package, but just by installing them they aren't substituted correctly.

I wrote the following fontconfig file to substitute the common fonts with TeX Gyre versions:

http://pastebin.com/v4MV4phq

This file was based on the ones provided by the fontconfig package, and I'm sure it works because with evince we are able to easily see the font substitutions (Properties -> Fonts tab).

You should install this file on /etc/fonts/conf.avail, like it is done in the cantarell font package: https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/tree/trunk?h=packages/cantarell-fonts

I suggest to name the file 31-texgyre-aliases.conf. Thanks in advance!

Can you include math counterparts of Gyre fonts? I.e. http://www.gust.org.pl/projects/e-foundry/tg-math

Not sure what you mean. It does have an install file already, very much like that one.

install file missing thiNk there is none. Will something like this be needed?:

post_install() {
echo -n "Updating font cache... "
fc-cache -f > /dev/null
mkfontscale /usr/share/fonts/OTF
mkfontdir /usr/share/fonts/OTF
echo "done"
}

post_upgrade() {
post_install
}

post_remove() {
post_install $1
