Thanks for taking over.

This package was unmaintaned for quite a long time, but I have a working local version of a PKGBUILD pointing to GitHub's main branch.

I'll upload it soon, once I tidy up things and point the PKGBUILD to a stable version.

Can someone explain to me how exactly this package is supposed to work? It doesn't seem to be working for me at all. For instance, when I enable/start the systemd unit file, I'm getting an error - probably because the user "owntracks" that the unit wants to run under wasn't created. The PKGBUILD should probably do that, or use the http user.

Similarly, I'm also confused by the permissions on the /var/spool directory - since the server wants to store data there, shouldn't this belong to the user the server runs under? The only way I can imagine this program running for you with this PKGBUILD is if you manually run it (without systemd) as root (which is bad security practice for any web app, obviously)...

PS: You also have an outdated owntracks-recorder-git package, avanc - maybe you want to remove that from AUR so there isn't any confusion?

@djmattyg007: Thanks for the hint. I'm not sure what the best way is to work with makedepends and dependencies. It's a little bit more verbose and helps, if just make dependencies change. However, I wonder why aur.archlinux.org cannot handle this...

It would be nice if this could be updated to the latest version.

Also, just a quick tip, it's unnecessary to list dependencies in the main depends list and in the makedepends list.
