Mind you, I don't need this application. I was just curious to see if I can install and run it. :)

After installing the last kdebindings-python2, and its dependencies kdebindings-python-common and kdelibs from archive.org's Arch Linux Historical Archives, execution still fails - now with a ValueError:

$ oyepa

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/oyepa", line 36, in <module>
    mimeMapper = mime_info.MimeMapper()
  File "/usr/share/oyepa/mime_info.py", line 61, in __init__
    from PyKDE4.kdecore import KMimeTypeTrader
ValueError: PyCapsule_GetPointer called with incorrect name
Exception AttributeError: "MimeMapper instance has no attribute 'MIME_TYPES_CACHE_FILEPATH'"
    in <bound method MimeMapper.__del__ of <mime_info.MimeMapper instance at 0x7f5c66b08fa0>> ignored

After getting over the SSL issue, build is successful but the application doesn't work.

It seems it needs 'PyKDE4', provided by the kdebindings-python2 v4.x package.

(Which is not available in the Arch Linux Archive server, only on archive.org's Arch Linux Historical Archives.)

Source cannot be downloaded, there seems to be an issue with the SSL certificate.

Btw is this tool still needed or useful to keep in your opinion? (Discontinued in 2011.)

PKGBUILD needs some revision; 1. version is 3.2 now 2. md5sum changed to '099777c8b0601bdaa6ff2e6ab4fcfe8c' 3. pyinotify changed to python-pyinotify after these changes there was no problem.

Failed to build. install: omitting directory `icons' Aborting... It seems `makepkg` cannot escape from the failure of `install` (internally `cp`) to copy a directory (without the `-r' option) and continue making the package.
