New versions of packettracer 7.2.2 and above are autoinstallables via run file, download it from netacad webpage and run it, you don't need this package.

To install packettracer 7.2.1 and lower, follow this guidelines: 1. Download the snapshot from this AUR. 2. Tar -zxf the packettracer.tar.gz snapshot (it creates the dir packettracer/ with the PKGBUILD on it). 3. Download the latest packettracer tarball from your Netacad account and copy it into the packettracer/ dir. 4. Create the package with the command makepkg (it creates a packettracer.pkg.tar.xz). 5. Install the package with either makepkg -i or sudo pacman -U packettracer.pkg.tar.xz.

CARCH = i686 is not covered. (And "x86" is probably useless.)

The cpu usage is a bit higher with some simulations with this build (~25%) which makes command line very laggy on the devices in the simulation. Any reason why?

Apr 19 23:25:07 localhost kernel: PacketTracer5[28769]: segfault at ff772fcc ip 00000000f4df7799 sp 00000000ff772fd0 error 6 in libQtCore.so.4.7.1[f4d99000+288000]
It appears with new 5.3.2 then I try to open PC window. Old version works perfectly.

To make this more clear: You have done nothing wrong, it just looks that way.

To anyone who thinks he is distributing binaries, please download the tarball and see for youself.

Please don't distribute links to illegal versions of packettracer.

Works on my x86 machine with libpng12 instead of lib32-libpng12.
Also I found no download link on the given website and had to download from there instead:
