added gst-plugins-bad to optdepends for aac and mp3 audio. vp8 and vp9 work for me without any gst plugins. 26.2.1 release was tagged in their git about an hour ago, so there'll be new binaries very soon.

From my own testing, gst-plugins-ugly certainly isn't needed for h.264, but gst-libav and gst-plugins-good are (tested with https://html5test.com/). Those vp9/8 videos work fine for me using both the -bin package and my natively compiled package.

I'd have thought it'd just be direct replacement of the gst 0.10 optdepends with the equivalent gst 1.0 package. i.e. before it was this: optdepends = gstreamer0.10-base-plugins: vorbis decoding, ogg demuxing optdepends = gstreamer0.10-good-plugins: webm and mp4 demuxing optdepends = gstreamer0.10-bad-plugins: aac, vp8 and opus decoding optdepends = gstreamer0.10-ugly-plugins: h.264 and mp3 decoding optdepends = gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg: h.264 decoding Change to this: optdepends = gst-plugins-base: vorbis decoding, ogg demuxing optdepends = gst-plugins-good: webm and mp4 demuxing optdepends = gst-plugins-bad: aac, vp8 and opus decoding optdepends = gst-plugins-ugly: h.264 and mp3 decoding optdepends = gst-libav: h.264 decoding No?

Travis confirmed in an email that base/good plugin sets are required for basic functionality, and gst-libav is needed for h.264. He said there should be some documentation when 26.2 got released, though I've not had chance to look for it yet.

Hey sumt, in case you didn't already know: as of 26.2.0 PM is going to use gstreamer 1.0 (rather than 0.10), so optdepends will need changing.
