I removed the patch added by previous maintainers & disabled the use of system libraries for this package in order to comply with Pale Moon's redistribution license. The previous PKGBUILD has been moved to newmoon-git with the official branding disabled.

As a result, this package must now be built in a chroot. The easiest way to do this is with the devtools package:

pacman -S devtools
git clone ssh://aur@aur.archlinux.org/palemoon-git.git
cd palemoon-git
extra-x86_64-build -- -I /path/to/gcc5.pkg.tar.xz
pacman -U palemoon-git-*.pkg.tar.xz

Please stop using official branding on this package. Your build configuration and your patches changing trust are unacceptable.

The line ac_add_options --enable-official-branding gives me an error, commenting it allows to build, but I don't know what will be the result, yet.

Just adopt the package, I no longer use pale moon in favor of waterfox.

Builds are failing for me with:

gcc-5: error: unrecognized command line option '-fno-plt'

I had to change the CXXFLAGS & CFLAGS exports in mozconfig.in from +=" -fPIC" to ="-fPIC".

Actually that's wrong, thought that'd work because I got a lib error when running but didn't notice compilation had failed.

Seems like an upstream bug, was able to fix it for now by adding

"sed -i -e '294,295d' dom/media/mediasource/ContainerParser.cpp"

after the patch command in the PKGBUILD
