pam-python-git works on my computer which use python3

This is untested, and I probably broke Python 2, but if someone wants to test it:

Agreed, please make this depend on python3. Especially with the AUR python2 package failing to build on many machines, and with this being the only package on my machine which depends on python2.

Please make this python3 only! Arch has officially removed all python2 the repositories.

Found https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=455608 and a commit in kscreenlocker which says it should fix it https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kscreenlocker/-/commit/1ff38e1ddbe575d4e99c0c5e9e1c01d69142f088.
Seems like it just missed 5.25.1...

@renyuneyun I got it from dmesg. I am having the same issue as @ArchieMeng. Could this be a upstream issue?
renyuneyun commented on 2022-06-20 14:54 (UTC)
@blennow Where did you obtain the error message? I'm experiencing the same problem on 5.25 "lock" screen (not login, which I believe is SDDM?), but can't find anywhere any error messages.
ArchieMeng commented on 2022-06-20 11:35 (UTC)
Same here. It seems like there is something wrong inside pam-python that caused the howdy KDE problems. On my devices, it works fine with other cases like sudo and local login.

I am getting a
QThread[4257]: segfault at 8 ip 00007f39fe210fcf sp 00007f39fea9cff0 error 4 in pam_python.so[7f39fe20e000+5000]
and loginscreen resets when using howdy on KDE plasma 5.25. Anyone else getting this?1 2 3 Next › Last »
