Installing this package and the rstudio-desktop-bin package, resulted in a symbolic link loop. The links this package creates in /usr/bin point to RStudio files which are links to the /usr/bin files. https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=rstudio-desktop-bin&id=47cb4af427ef#n83

Maybe the package should provide (and conflict with) pandoc and pandoc-citeproc, instead of haskell-pandoc.

Sorry my last comment made no sense. The issue is fixed if arch users install pandoc separately using either the pandoc-bin or pandoc-static aur packages, and then deleting the pandoc binaries that ship with rstudio and create softlinks in the rstudio bin directory to the system install pandoc. I posted a solution here: https://github.com/rstudio/rmarkdown/issues/498#issuecomment-134683458 if pandoc does not work, it can also be installed using cabal: https://github.com/rstudio/rmarkdown/issues/498#issuecomment-135406169 I'm not sure how you want to handle this in this aur package, otherwise this comment and my original comment should hopefully be enough for future users.

The binary supplied with rstudio has the same problem, unfortunately I can't fix it. Until the problem is resolved, you should use another binary package for pandoc.
