I honestly don't know what it means. I downloaded the latest papers please from Humble bundle (1.1.65) and unpackaged it, when I tried to run it I got that error. Thinking it might be a dep. issue I went to the AUR, found this package installed it (using the manually downloaded tar.gz) but I still had the same issue. Regardless of whether I started the game with or without optirun. After some googleing people seemed to think it was an issue with lib32-mesa-libgl so I went to install that, and at the same time uninstalled the nvidia package (as they conflict). Now it works perfectly when started with "papersplease" but still gives the error when started with "optirun papersplease". A list of installed (when working, difference from not working is the mentioned libgl) nvidia and mesa packages can be found here: http://pastebin.com/kXy5AubW

I use lib32-nvidia-libgl. I've tested the latest package and haven't encountered any errors.

Habmala: Are you suggesting that papersplease doesn't work with proprietary nvidia drivers? That seems unlikely, although I currently have no access to a nvidia card to test this. Can anybody confirm/refute this?

Papers please from Humble bundle seems to need "lib32-mesa-libgl". I had "lib32-nvidia-libgl" and it gave me this error: X Error of failed request: GLXUnsupportedPrivateRequest Major opcode of failed request: 155 (GLX) Minor opcode of failed request: 16 (X_GLXVendorPrivate) Serial number of failed request: 187 Current serial number in output stream: 188 swapping for the mesa package "fixed" the issue..

alexskc: I didn't include it originally because I try to make my packages as standard as possible. Also, Papers Please is available DRM free from more than just Humble. However, it seems that the Linux build hasn't made it over to the other distributors as I thought it might. I don't object to the hib dlagent now.

Ian_Fin: Proprietary software AUR packages often don't have an automatic means of downloading their sources, as there isn't a constant/public URI to download them from. Generally you download the source archive yourself after purchasing it. Source files are always placed in the same directory as the PKGBUILD, regardless if they are automatically or manually downloaded.
