dolik.rce has passed on maintenance of this package to me. For now I intend to update the existing package rather than perform a re-write, unless it becomes necessary to build from source at some point.

I have just pushed an update to the current published stable version 0.228.8

@Alad, look tomorrow for a -git variant. I will upload one.

@Alad: Because of my lack of time and general laziness :-) Feel free to contribute a better PKGBUILD...

Alad commented on 2016-09-04 19:08

Why isn't this built from source?

Ubuntu revision increased to 11. New pkgver=0.215ubuntu11.
Thanks for the package, and have a nice day :)

@m42kus: You're right, it should be /etc/pbuilderrc. The path in the PKGBUILD was used in the past (several versions of pbuilder ago), I just never noticed it changed. I will correct this soon.

The config file location of pbuilder is /etc/pbuilderrc, not /etc/pbuilder/pbuilderrc. Is there a reason you use the directory?

0.215ubuntu9 is no longer available.

I use 0.215ubuntu10 instead with this md5sum : ac77b10c47d73bf374e9efaf61aa9d4e

New version, 0.215ubuntu6, here is the fixed PKGBUILD

pkgdesc="personal package builder for Debian packages"
depends=('debootstrap' 'dpkg' 'coreutils' 'wget' 'debianutils' 'perl-timedate')
optdepends=('ubuntu-keyring: checking release signatures of ubuntu distributions'
'debian-archive-keyring: checking release signatures of debian distributions'
'debian-keyring: checking release signatures of debian distributions (alternative package)')

package() {
ar x pbuilder_${pkgver}_all.deb
xz -d data.tar.xz
tar -vxf data.tar -C "$pkgdir"

cp "$pkgdir/usr/share/pbuilder/pbuilderrc" "$pkgdir/etc/pbuilder/pbuilderrc"

# move the executables to /usr/bin
mkdir -p /usr/bin
mv "$pkgdir/usr/sbin"/* "$pkgdir/usr/bin/"
rmdir "$pkgdir/usr/sbin"

piquer: Not really depend, as it can be run just as fine with debian-keyring or debian-archive-keyring and perhaps others. It depends what the particular user needs. I will add both debian and ubuntu keyrings as optional dependencies, so that user is notified of this when installing this package.
