it's ok, i'm happy with the package to exist and being updated, lets move on
A+ response. Glad we're all on the same side now. :)
@ainola: I admit I did not handle this situation well. I'll try and be more excellent in the future.
@mesmer: I apologize for coming being rude.
@yochananmarqos: Please revisit how you engage with other community members. Regardless the quality of a user's contributions, there's no reason to come out so aggressively. As you can witness, your approach did not help a contributor improve their skills and ultimately help the community but drove them out entirely.
If a substantial number of packages by a user are poorly maintained, then consider first offering help in a way that doesn't guarantee escalation, and then consider raising the issue with a TU.
Not everything in life unicorn and rainbows; But neither is everything worthy of scorn (certainly not a handful of PKGBUILDs). As Manhattan Gendi once said, "be excellent to each other".
@mesmer: I understand but that's not the point. If you're going to do something, do it well or not at all. You may think my words are harsh, but not everything in life is unicorns and rainbows.
As you said, it sounds like you need to focus on yourself right now. How can you help others if you can't help yourself? I wish you well.
man... do you known that life is not that easy, do you known what the last weeks with covid has been? the "half" that are you are saying i get to try to fix, its not mine from begining, but i have problems and need to abandon, i'm doing that right now.
And i'm not doing that for learn, i'm trying to help the community to add something, i dont wanna you to maintain this package, just added you because you are hard attacking without any reason.
I'll chance that and fix whatever comes, but right now i cannot, the same with the plugin that i created in this project (tuna).
If you or anyone wanna maintain this package i glad remove myself from that, just from that exist i'm happy
@mesmer: Almost half of your half-ass AUR packages are out of date. Why don't you maintain what you already have before you add another one like this.
You'll never learn if someone else does things for you. I will not maintain this unless you disown the package.
@mesmer: That's not a clean environment, hence why you didn't notice yarn and git are missing as build dependencies. It also fails to build with Node.js 16.
The symlink is broken as it's linking inside the PKGDEST. It should be
ln -s /opt/Youtube Music/youtube-music "$pkgdir"/usr/bin/youtube-music
By the way, I already maintain youtube-music-bin and just added youtube-music.
