I seem to remember vaguely that some time ago there was an issue with some sandboxing feature that was enabled in the default “linux“ kernel but not in some other kernels (linux-zen I think?). Are you perhaps using an old or non-standard kernel, ortsacs?

I have just installed this program and it didn't start. Problem was that chrome-sandbox hasn't setuid bit activated. I have to activate it manually and now the program works fine.

I couldn't reproduce this. I tried uninstalling the package, clearing out the build directories src & pkg directories, and then built, installed, & ran the program and it launched fine.

The dependency gconf is not neccessary. Please remove it.

Anyone able to get v3.1.0 to build & function properly?

I tried tweaking the package.json so that the electron builds complete, but I get no window when I try running it afterwards: https://github.com/evolus/pencil/pull/576/files

For now, whoever having the saving file issue can temporarily try my AUR package for development branch: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/evolus-pencil-devel-git/

Just for now. This AUR is still of better quality in the end.

I am unable to save any file. If I finish a drawing and hit save, the cursor goes to busy mode and never returns the control.

PNG export is broken. It hangs in between and doesn't export.

Requesting the developers to fix the above. Lot of my work has stopped.
