Just want to put a note here on how I used this package, since it took me a while to figure it out. Hopefully it is an useful information.
Basically I wanted to remove all highlights in a PDF file, per the instruction of this post (https://superuser.com/questions/221711/batch-remove-comments-from-pdf-files).
Arch does not have libcam-pdf-perl, and I believe this package is identical or at least the equivalent.
The tricky part is that I needed to run "rewritepdf.pl" instead of just "rewritepdf". That is, the command to remove all comments in a PDF file is:
