where'd you got podchecker from? I've looked in Arch repo and AUR but cannot find it there. Did you get from CPAN?

Builds in a chroot fine for me.

Hi Jason, I just flagged this as out-of-date. I tried bumping the version to 1.6.1, and it builds fine, but fails to run. I guess you'll probably get the same error message anyway, but here's what happens for me. Can't locate sys/ioctl.ph in @INC (did you run h2ph?) (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/share/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib/perl5/core_perl /usr/share/perl5/core_perl .) at /usr/bin/extract_url line 60.
