I have to because $srcdir value doesn't exist at that point (which is why i have placed it in prepare previously).

And yes, makepkg --repackage -f works fine

I still don't think this fixed the issue. Does makepkg --repackage work?

Edit: Nevermind, I missed that you moved that variable to the global part. Should work ok.

Edit2: You don't need the eval if you used double quotes instead of single quotes when defining the variable.
