Here is a cleaned up PKGBUILD (uses $pkgdir, $srcdir for those of us who have them in non-standard locations; includes check() and package(); specifies dependencies; uses $pkgver in the download url): http://codepad.org/7w4Vsl16

I cannot reproduce this error, but I'm going to change the mirror the source is downloaded from anyway.
