add mkdir -p /var/run/pgpool please. otherwise pgpool startup will fail: # pgpool -n 2010-10-04 19:03:12 ERROR: pid 14845: could not open pid file as /var/run/pgpool/pgpool.pid. reason: No such file or directory

3.0 was released. Should be a simple modification: http://pastebin.com/XmeAjcPJ is my modded version with new URLs.
