It builds on x86_64, including the tests. As for ARM, I'm unable to test that now, I no longer have an Arch-based system on my phone.

I removed the check() function entirely though and the build is still failing. Are you able to build the package currently? Because I tested that this morning and it fails before ever getting to check().

@greenbeast I think after the first time the build fails, it asks what you want to do. One of the options should be to skip the check() function.

I'm not exactly certain because I've switched to paru since, but I remember pikaur working that way.

@k8ie Can you by chance show me the command for skipping the tests with pikaur? I tried installing this again and it still fails on the tests even after removing checks() from the PKGBUILD so I am not entirely sure what else to try.

@greenbeast Oh damn, you're right. I completely forgot about this. I had the same issue but I installed using pikaur which allows skipping tests.

The weird thing is that the tests only fail on ARM. They pass on x86_64.

@k8ie Thanks for the information! For some reason this fails to install for me, which is why it didn't echo out the symlink I should make. I get an error in tests/test-grab-word. All the dependencies are installed though.

I would copy the whole error here but it seems like when making the symlink I accidentally bricked my phosh install so now I can only use TTY. Whoops.

@greenbeast Hi, you need to create a symlink at /usr/share/applications/sm.puri.OSK0.desktop pointing to /usr/share/applications/sm.puri.Phosh.OskStub.desktop.

The package contains an .install file which should print the instructions after the package is installed.

You'll need to restart your session after you have made the change.

No question is dumb ;)

Dumb question here, how does one activate this? I installed it via yay but I don't know how to activate it so I only see squeekboard.

@Daviteusz Fixed, thanks for the correction.

Symlink command is wrong:

ln -s /usr/share/applications/sm.puri.OSK0.desktop /usr/share/applications/sm.puri.Phosh.OskStub.desktop

Should be:

ln -s /usr/share/applications/sm.puri.Phosh.OskStub.desktop /usr/share/applications/sm.puri.OSK0.desktop
