Sorry for the late comment, but this should be fixed in the latest version.

I've noticed that when using steg to add a text file to an image, then unsteg to retrieve the text file, the output text file is missing a newline at the end of the file. This breaks the file's checksum. Not sure if the issues lies in steg or unsteg. You can confirm by doing a diff of the original text file to the extracted one.
